"Every experience, every moment,
every challenge—each is an integral
part of my growth."
MY STORY
I understand what it feels like to struggle with self hatred. To numb the pain, run from it, and sabotage the opportunities that come your way.
I didn’t just learn about trauma through my studies, I lived it from a young age. Early on, I experienced an absent father and a mom who had trauma of her own that deeply affected the way my needs were met and the way I was taken care of. I quickly became the girl who suffered from an insecure attachment; abandoning herself, constantly putting others' needs before her own & doing whatever it took to escape herself.
This pattern guided me into a series of abusive relationships, people-pleasing behaviours, self-abuse, and eventually full blown alcoholism. I disconnected from myself in every possible way. I became skilled at not only mistreating myself, but also hurting the people I got close to. Constantly self-sabotaging, withdrawing from almost every close relationship in an attempt to keep myself 'safe' because I couldn't trust anyone, not even myself.
For years, I ran from my childhood wounds, gaslighting myself into accepting toxic behaviors, numbing the pain with men, alcohol and substances, all while feeling both too much and never enough. It was a life built on self-abandonment and a deep fear of facing the very parts of me I was so very ashamed of.

It was hitting rock bottom - alcoholism, suicidal ideation, to finding Jesus & having the trauma healed that brought me home to myself.
My desire to help others break free from the same demons that once held me captive is what led me on this career path. Throughout my own healing journey, I took everything I learned in my studies and applied it to my life. I did the deep inner work - I learned how to feel my emotions instead of escape them, how to forgive myself + others, how to heal the wounds that caused the chaos, began to prioritize my needs and started setting boundaries. But most importantly - I came to rely on Jesus, who made this journey possible for me. In my own strength, I could only do so much. But with Him, I was able to heal and grow in ways I never could alone. In time, I finally found the woman God created me to be. & that woman was re-built from hard work, discipline, deep introspection, and a promise to herself that she would never return to the dark shackles of her past.
