COUNSELLING

"Healing begins when, in the face of our own darkness, we recognize our helplessness and surrender our need for control."

Being a wounded individual...

Suffering from trauma, insecurities, anxiety, avoidance, overwhelm, low self-esteem and self-sabotaging behaviours (that you don't know how to stop) can be debilitating and exhausting. I get it. Not only do you struggle in relationship with others, but you also suffer in the relationship with yourself - and it's a pain that feels all-consuming.

It seems like it's a never-ending cycle of self-doubt, self-loathing, and self-condemnation that keeps pulling you back to the places you want to so desperately leave. And you've likely tried everything; you've bought the books, you've paid for the courses, you've seen therapist after therapist, you've made lifestyle changes - but yet, you can't seem to break the loops that are keeping you stuck in 'self-sabotage' mode.

What if the answer to your healing doesn't come from within yourself, but rather from God? What if the way you’ve been searching is part of why it's all still unresolved, and that there’s another way to move forward? What if you could hand all your pain over so it's no longer your burden to carry?

Your healing doesn't have to be a long, drawn-out journey that takes years to achieve. By aligning and yoking yourself to Jesus, you will see the effects of His transforming love take place in a supernatural, miraculous way. No more relying on yourself to make it all happen, but instead giving it all over to the One who brings transformation that runs way deeper than willpower.

God Promises Restoration.

THOUGH EACH JOURNEY IS UNIQUE, HERE ARE THE ESSENTIAL TOUCHSTONES THAT GUIDE MY WORK:

Christ-centered.

This is the most essential ingredient in therapy.

Healing happens through relationship with Him, not with self-effort alone.

Integration of faith & psychology.

Spiritual depth & therapeutic insight are key.

Healing emotional patterns, understanding attachment styles and looking at trauma with a deeper meaning + Truth.

Trauma-informed.

What has happened to you is important.

We work with the impact of past experiences and let God rewrite the story.

Forgiveness.

You can't move forward with bitterness sitting in your heart.

Learning how to let go of condemnation, hatred and knowing how to move forward from the pain.

Grace + mercy led.

Being met with grace instead of having to force change yourself.

It's God's mercy & grace that heals. It's also what moves us forward with compassion and less self-striving.

Restoration + Renewal.

Becoming whole in a new way.

Getting down to the core issues of the pain & healing from the roots up rather than putting a 'bandage' on the wounds.
